Welcome to Leesburg First Assembly of God We are a church family excited about and committed to serving and worshipping Jesus Christ. Each worship service is devoted to honoring the Lord through song, prayer, praise, testimony and a life-changing message from God's Word. The Holy Spirit has the freedom to move whenever and however He wills. It is our belief that "People will not care how much we know until they know how much we care" (Charles Swindoll). With the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we at Leesburg First Assembly are striving to address the personal needs of each child, teen and adult, as well as minister to the family as a whole. A Word From Pastor Rick Welborne "Consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord." Joel 1:14 (NKJV) Recently, while in prayer seeking the Lord and asking for His direction for Leesburg First Assembly of God, He began to speak to me about where we are to go from here. He said to me, "Corporate tests and trials are coimng to My body in unprecedented ways but do not believe this is the enemy of your soul...it is My doing. When I send corporate tests, there needs to be corporate repentance and turning back to Me with all of your hearts. As you turn to Me wholeheartedly, there will come corporate blessings." We would all agree we need His blessings! When the Lord spoke this to me, there seem to be a deeper understanding of why so many (including myself) are going through the most difficult times of their lives. God must be first. He must be the Lord over all areas of our lives. Jesus said, "It is not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nation?" Mark 11:17 (NKJV) God is calling us to fast and come together in corporate prayer like never before. Our Sunday nights will be dedicated to seeking God with all our hearts and passionately pursuing Him with our whole beings. Will you join with us on Sunday nights and other times as we seek Him until we find Him?
